After finishing this film, my strongest takeaway was: “the road home is long.”
It’s still a very “Nolan” style movie—full of fantastical elements, yet told with an ambiguous, hard-to-pin-down narrative approach. If you don’t do a bit of homework beforehand, a lot of scenes may be difficult to understand.
Also, the film’s score is quite impactful—I honestly felt like the IMAX theater speakers were about to give out. I really recommend seeing it in an IMAX auditorium, and taking the time to fully experience and feel it.
