At Sister Xiangmin’s invitation, I joined Brother B and Eliana to complete our first ancient-costume shoot together on a scorching June day. A good piece of work really is the result of the right timing, the right place, and the right people—only with a suitable environment and setting, well-crafted outfits, and a performance with depth can you create the images you want.
This time, during the shoot, I also learned a lot from the seniors about planning compositions and arranging scenes, as well as directing the subject. Even though we were sweating buckets, the amount I gained made it absolutely worth it.
